I would say Billy Squier predicted portable smartphone media access and Facebook stalking with those lyrics from his single "Eye on You," which made #71 in January 1985. Like most of Squier's hits, it's a good melody ruined by annoyingly out of place sound effects (here it's "bum bum bum" Christmas carol backing vocals and laser-shooting spaceship sounds) that are the most dated thing this side of Aldo Nova. I prefer Nova's one-hit "Fantasy" to anything in Squier's catalog, but nobody's perfect, and "Eye on You" is worth a listen, so check it out here:
